Each year, scientists and medical professionals from around the world gather together to share research and clinical updates in hematology at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) conference. ASH is the world’s largest professional society serving clinicians and scientists who are working to conquer blood diseases. At the conference, advancements in lymphoma and CLL treatments and care are presented, helping Canadian clinicians to understand and prepare for changes in treatment approaches as new therapies come to market.
At this patient-centered educational webinar, Dr. Balitsky will provide an overview of research updates on the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma including Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas (B-Cell and T-Cell), Hodgkin Lymphoma, and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, based on the results presented at the ASH conference in December 2023.

Dr. Amaris Balitsky
Speaker Biography:
Dr. Amaris Balitsky is a malignant hematologist at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, specializing in lymphoid malignancies and cellular therapy and Assistant Professor at McMaster University. She obtained her MD degree from the University of Toronto, where she also completed Internal Medicine residency training. She completed Hematology residency at McMaster University. She went on to complete a 2-year combined clinical and research fellowship, where she developed clinical expertise in lymphoma and cellular therapy at McMaster University and the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
