Surgery
Surgery may be an option for many cancers, if the cancer appears localized (confined to one area). During surgery the cancerous area may be removed along with any surrounding tissue that might contain cancer cells. At times your surgeon may not be able to determine how much of an area has to be removed until the surgery is in progress.
