Meet our specialist: Dr. David Macdonald
Dr. Macdonald is a Hematologist at the Ottawa Hospital and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He received his MD at Queen’s University and did residencies in Internal Medicine and Hematology at Dalhousie University. He then did a Clinical Trials Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group, then a clinical lymphoma fellowship at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver. He was Chair of the Hematology Cancer Site Team for Cancer Care Nova Scotia for ten years before moving to Ottawa in 2017. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Lymphoma Canada. His clinical and research interests are in clinical trials of novel therapies in lymphoma and CLL.
