Webinar: Anxiety and Stress Management for Lymphoma Patients
Date/Time:
January 14, 2020
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm EST
Description:
In addition to the medical aspects of being diagnosed with cancer, such as lymphoma, there are many different emotional, psychological and practical issues that patients will also have to cope with. Further, these issues can impact patients throughout their lymphoma journey and into survivorship, not just at the time of diagnosis. Feelings of anxiety and stress can increase or decrease at different times and can be related to a variety of factors such as your lymphoma care, changes to your lifestyle and day-to-day activities, impacts to your social life and relationships, school/employment, etc. In addition to the impacts of a cancer diagnosis, the COVID-19 pandemic has further affected the physical and mental health status of patients.
This presentation will discuss the sources of stress and anxiety for cancer patients and will provide numerous techniques and coping strategies for how to manage emotional, psychological and practical impacts for patients with lymphoma during the COVID-19 pandemic.
