2024 World Lymphoma Awareness Day
This World Lymphoma Awareness Day, join the global lymphoma community to say Time for Some Honest Talk about How We’re Feeling.
Too often when someone is living with lymphoma, they feel that expressing the challenges they are going through may burden others. This year the lymphoma community is coming together to highlight the benefits of being honest with your support group. Learning to cope with challenging feelings can help build closer relationships with family and friends, a deeper connection with yourself, and better equip you to live in the moment.
According to the Lymphoma Coalition’s most recent Global Patient Survey on Lymphomas & CLL (2024), two-thirds of people (67%) said they had experienced emotional effects in the past six months, including fear of cancer relapse or progression (46%), anxiety (35%), depression (27%) and isolation (26%). What’s more, most of these people are not talking to their medical teams about how they are feeling or seeking help.
